Links from Times Past

Hi girls!

Since no one has written anything in about two million years, I figured I’d share these links which document things we did in our college days:

Hello lovely ladies!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on what was going on here, and also to make sure everyone got their wedding invites! They all went out, so if you didn’t get one please let me know. Everything here is good-we are settling in to the new house, it is a TON of work, but fun. Pulling things together for the wedding. I am currently unemployed, have been going on interviews and have a few things pending, just have to decide what I want. I hope to see you guys in September-I miss you all so much! I also hope everyone is having a good summer-anything exciting going on, fun vacations or what not?

naughty naughty activities

so last week my family and i went to this huge BRIS party for friends of my family. they just had quadruplets and 3 of the babies were boys, so that meant “snip snip”. my boyfriend is friends with the babies’ father, so he was there too. we cant really tell anyone that we are dating or within 5 minutes word will get around the the persian community and everyone will think we are engaged. so up until that night, him and i were talking about a way to sneak out of the party to fool around. there isnt much room in the back seat of his car, so he borrowed another friend’s range rover. he texts me in the middle of the reception, and we met in the parking lot. found a nice alleyway down the street. very thankful it was late and no one was around. after fooling around, we finally gather ourselves and head back to the party. he walks in first and then me. a little while later he is talking to someone i know who has a beautiful little girl. i noticed the girl was crying, so i meant to ask if i could help in anyway. the guy goes “oh thank you so much. oh, by the way..i would like to introduce you to Mo. Mo this is Frances, Frances this is Mo.” Both of us went along and pretended we didnt know each other. I really wanted to say “Oh, it is nice to meet you. Didnt we just have sex a few minutes ago?” hee-hee….

summer in nyc!

Hey Ladies,

Sorry, I havent written in sooo long. I totally forgot how to login to this website. Shira was kind enough to email me directions, so I thought I would write a post before I forgot. Everything is going very well here in NYC. Just got back from a 2 week trip to Israel with an organization called Birthright. It was an amazing time!! We saw and experienced so much. I even pulled a Frances and fell while hiking. I was taken to the hospital and got 5 stiches on my forehead. Thank goodness that is ALL that happened! Since then I have been busy teaching summer school, writing up my research project from last year, and working at an autism research lab. I am loving the work, just wish I was actually getting PAID for it!! Evidently it is all supposed to pay off in a few years. Besides school/work, I have been dating a guy for almost 4 months now. He is also persian/jewish. We were set up through family. I was very hesitant at first, but thought why not give it a chance? Things are going very well and it is actually nice to finally meet a guy who doesnt play games. I have told him plenty of college Frances stories and he still hasnt dumped me, so I guess this one is a keeper!??!?  Hope everyone is well. xoxoxoxo

I’m an aunt!

I am now an aunt! Adam’s sister just had a baby girl.  I have not seen her yet, but we will be going back to buffalo next weekend.  both baby and mommy are doing well.

It is hard to believe how much time has passed since we graduated.  I am constantly amazed at how time keeps moving faster as we get older.  Do you remember when you were young and the summer seemed to last forever…. now we blink and a year has passed.  I hate to know how we will feel when we are actually old.

I hope everyone is doing well. its the same old here.  go to work, have some fun, go to work some more.  if any of you want to see where i work check out the website- www.pattersoninnmuseum.org

Hopefully we will all be able to get together some time soon.

Old Pic

goingout.jpg

I’m going to town with our new scanner this week.  This is one of my favorite pictures from college, but unfortunately got semi-ruined somehow…(I think when I was cleaning the frame with window cleaner one day).  Does anyone have the original in digital form that they can send me??  I think there’s another version too, perhaps with me and one arm in the air like an orangatang.  I totally cannot believe we wore those homemade scarves in public, Caitlin.  (Hotness)

Binghamton Beer Crawl 2003

binghamton_beercrawl.jpgOkay, brace yourselves.  Picking another one out of the archives: Remember this night?  I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much in my life…okay, besides the time I broke up with my first true love and the time I forged my Mom’s name on a bad math progress report.

What emotion!

Other than the crying, I really don’t remember a whole lot about that night, do you guys…who bought the colored hair thingies?  I do remember losing mine at some point during the night.  They were those metallic snap on bracelets that if you snapped on too hard, you ended up hurting yourself.

And I remember that I refused to buy a beer mug for $5…I hate beer (and besides, wasn’t that a scandalous price for a plastic cup?!).

I remember being on a bridge at some point and drinking out of a fish bowl filled with some brightly colored beverage…

And maybe a taxi…

One Year Later :)

I can’t believe it has been one year since we were in Aruba!! We need to go back like right now!! I will gladly throw back on the dress and repeat the vows if you all need an excuse! But really I think getting a good tan (or sunburn in some Caitlin cases) is a good enough excuse!

Things in Chicago are pretty good. To celebrate the ol one year anniversary we are going to a fancy resort in Wisconsin (so not as nice as Aruba)..my parents got us a gift certificate for xmas..i convinced Sam into getting the “ultimate romance package” which consists of bathrobes you get to keep, champagne, breakfasts in bed, dinners in your room, and i would have to assume some sort of chocolate somewhere in the mix…so we are looking forward to that for sure..

And then in a couple more weeks we are off to Boston for my sister’s baby christening..we are the godparents so here is hoping we don’t drop the little bugger.

Work is going good..i only have 1 1/2 more months as an intern so I am very excited about that..next year i don’t have quite as much call so it should be better. and i get the tinest raise imaginable but it’s still a raise!

Guess that is about it for me. I miss you girls all tons and feel we should definetly get together soon! A year apart is just too long!! Besides we need to throw Dawn a bacherolette party…but I would suggest no tequila shot then beer chugging contests..especially if she has somewhere to be the next day 😉
